This branch of the Carroll County Public Library system is located at 2265 Old Westminster Pike. There are a variety of in-person and online library events for both adults and children.
Not far from the library is this park, located at 2250 Old Westminster Pike. There are sports fields, a playground, a walking trail and picnic facilities.
This is a small sports complex with 4 baseball diamonds located at 3229 Old Westminster Pike.
Located at the intersection of Route 140 and Route 91, this shopping center is easy to find. It can be entered from both routes of travel. Like most shopping centers, you’ll find food, grocery and pharmacy services here.
The local fire department, located at 3838 Niner Road, sponsors a variety of fundraisers and community events. Some popular events include: bingo, food drive-throughs, an annual carnival, and children’s birthday parties. The public can also rent the social hall for private events.
Located on Route 140 between Finksburg and Westminster, this local volunteer fire company also serves this community. Like all volunteer fire companies, fundraisers and serving the local communities are a big part of what they do. This fire company also offers events such as bingo, food drive-throughs, a big money raffle and an annual carnival. Occasionally a blood drive is hosted at this location. Hall rentals for private events are also available.
