Manchester Farms is a popular neighborhood in Manchester, Md. Located in the southern part of Manchester, this large neighborhood does not have an HOA.The proximity to Manchester Valley High School, shopping, restaurants, Cape Horn park and quick access to major routes of travel make this community extremely popular. The demand for homes in Manchester Farms is evident by their ability to sell quickly. This friendly neighborhood has it’s own Facebook group, which keeps residents up-to-date with events and other important information.
The homes in Manchester Farms are mainly colonials ranging from 900 to 3500 square feet. You will, however, find some ranchers scattered throughout the neighborhood. The original section of Manchester Farms also includes split-level and split-foyer houses. Since the neighborhood was built in multiple stages, many of the homes have been updated. Extensive finished basements have been added to quite a few of the homes, which has increased the square footage and living space. Hardwood floors, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and other modern updates can be found in quite a few of the homes.The smallest homes in the neighborhood start with 3 bedrooms while the larger floor plans have a 4+ bedroom layout.
Starlight Court was the final section of homes in Manchester Farms to be completed. These homes, like the others in this Manchester neighborhood, were built by Bob Ward Homes. This section of homes is the only section of Manchester Farms that also charges a front-foot fee to the homeowners.

Millers Food Market, a local favorite for fresh meats and vegetables, is approximately 3 miles away, located off Main Street on Route 27. Walmart is a short distance away, as well as fast food, hair salons, nail salons, churches and more. The North Carroll Senior Center is loaded with activity, and you will also find a local branch of the public library. Cape Horn Park features a playground, walking paths, and sports fields. Christmas Tree Park offers a variety of playground equipment and pavilions. Charlotte’s Quest Nature Center is a fabulous spot to take the kids. And don’t forget to check out the events sponsored by the Manchester Volunteer Fire Company. The annual summer carnival (always held during the week of July 4), community dinners and other assorted fundraisers are some of the community fun they sponsor. If you don’t feel like cooking, nearby dining options include Fratelli’s Restaurant, China Manor, Greenmount Station, Spargo’s and Dutch Corner Restaurant.
