Carnivals in MD are a favorite summer past time for many people, both young and old. A variety of volunteer fire companies hold carnivals in Carroll County, MD every summer. These are some of the largest fundraisers held each year. The monies made from the rides, games, food and raffles provide much needed financial support for the local fire departments. They have many expenses each year, including: maintaining and purchasing the various pieces of equipment, fuel for the equipment, supplies, the fire station and more. Support your local fire departments by attending one or more of these annual events!
Gamber Carnival

Carnival hours are 6 – 11 p.m.
Tickets for the always popular “Ride All Night” go on sale May 1 for $20 / each. They can be purchased through June 5 at Jake’s Barbershop in Mt. Airy and Georges Girls in Downtown Mt. Airy.
On May 21 and May 28, ride tickets can also be purchased from 1-4pm at Upper Deck Sports Bar & Grill.
Last call for tickets will be on June 5 at the carnival grounds from 10 am-5pm.

Manchester Fire Company Carnival
(Station 4)
When: July 4 – July 9, 2022
Where: York Street Carnival Grounds, Manchester MD 21102
2022 is the 137th anniversary of the annual Manchester Carnival. The carnival is open from 6-11 pm each night. Advanced ride tickets are available for $18 at the Activities Building. Call the fire station to purchase at (410) 239-2286.
Enjoy fresh platters served every night in the air-conditioned activities’ building, as well as crab cakes, bar-b-que, soups, chicken filets, fish filets, and pies. The kitchen is open from 5 – 9 pm each night. Other foods served at the various food stands include the infamous pit beef, french fries, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, funnel cakes and ice cream.
And don’t forget the nightly live entertainment on the stage! Bring your lawn chair, or stand nearby to hear the featured music each night.

Delicious platters will be served nightly inside the air-conditioned hall. The kitchen will be open Monday – Friday beginning at 6:00 pm, and Saturday beginning at 5:00 pm. Enjoy roast beef, chicken, shrimp and more!
Avoid parking hassles! Park at North Carroll High School, and ride the shuttle for free. Shuttle buses will run Monday thru Friday from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m., and Saturday from 5:00 pm – 11:30 p.m.
