Rural Living

Laid Back or Active Lifestyle?

Things to Do & Where to Go

People tend to live in Upperco because they love the rural nature and lack of a local government. There are no subdivisions here. There are no condo or townhouse communities. You will strictly find single family homes, many on larger lots of land. Due to the unincorporated and smaller, rural nature of this area, there are limited things to do in Upperco itself. However, there are plenty of options north, south, east and west of Upperco.

Things To Do in Upperco

Sportsmans Hall Roller Skating Center

This roller skating rink has been a staple of the community for many years. This is a great place to hold birthday parties and you’ll also find family package deals. It’s actually one of the largest skating areas in the country! Many local singles have actually met here and became a couple. Some have even married after meeting at this popular venue! If you need to take a break and get a bite to eat, the cafe offers a variety of meals and treats. Don’t have your own roller skates? No problem, you can gladly rent a pair. Have skates but need some repairs, or wish to own your own skates? You can buy your own or have yours repaired here, too.

Spring Meadow Farms

Located at 15513 Hanover Pike, practically across the street from Sportsmans Hall Roller Skating Center, is this popular family business which sells produce and plants. A particularly popular offering is the children’s petting zoo. Kids (and adults, too!) can enjoy piglets, lambs, rabbits, goats, chickens, turkeys and ducks.
