Taneytown is located in northwest Carroll County. You’ll find it about 2 miles east of Frederick County, MD and about 3 miles south of Adams County, Pennsylvania. There are 2 main routes of travel to this town: Maryland Route 140 and Maryland Route 194. These roads provide direct access to Frederick, Baltimore, and Pennsylvania. If you like history, Gettysburg is only 13 miles away.
