Carroll County Farmer’s Market

Actually scheduled for the day before Mother’s Day, from 8 am – 2pm, the Farmer’s Market is the oldest in Carroll County, and the second oldest in the state. Held indoors at the Ag Center in Westminster, as many as 100 vendors are on premise each week. Bring Mom to check out home-grown fruits, vegetables and baked goods, as well as hand-made jewelry, gifts and garden plants. The Brill Brothers will be providing music specifically for The Mother’s Day Farmer’s Market.

 

Flower & Jazz Festival

Another event scheduled for Saturday, May 13 is the annual Flower & Jazz Festival in downtown Westminster. Main Street will be filled with craft and commercial vendors, as well as a variety of food and flower vendors. For those who enjoy running, there will be a 5K Run. And don’t forget the variety of music! The 5K starts at 9 am, followed by the festival from 10 am – 4 pm. This is definitely an event to attend.

 

 Carroll Singers Presents: “Two Sirs with Love”

Performed at the Westminster High School Auditorium, this event features the music of Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney. Shows will be held Saturday, May 13 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 14 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance for adults, and $7 in advance for students. Children under 6 are free. Advanced tickets are available for purchase at The Arts Council, Coffey Music and from members of the Carroll Singers. Tickets are also available at the door for $15 (adults) an $9 (students).
